Operation Christmas Child 2011

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and contributed shoeboxes.  21,000 boxes were collected (a new record!)  Think of how the love of Jesus will be shared with children all over the world this year.

WINTRY/EXTREME WEATHER PROCEDURES

When we get Saturday night or Sunday morning snow storms, we have to consider whether to open the Church for worship on a Sunday morning.  The decision is made by the Head Deacon, the Moderator, and the Pastor with the input from the local weather services and driving conditions.  We always ask please use your personal discretion--safety always.

We will place a message on the 859-2156 line as to the circumstances as soon as the decision is made.  It would be a good practice to check this right before you leave home in case there is a change.  We will also send a message around the Prayer Chain.  We will make an effort to contact radio stations WDAC 94.5 FM and WJTL 90.3 FM.  Hopefully, this is enough information to get the word out.
